Boy it sure has been a busy summer, well I say busy... maybe its been a little hectic... ok so its been uneventful...

I've been sitting at my computer doing nothing for a couple of months.

BUT! I have actually done some good *looks smugly around the room*
Because in a whole 2 months I have made two -count it- TWO films *beams*

And not to mention I finished the amazingly fantastic documentary on Marxist views on money an'all!!! (only took us a year to finish, well when I say we, I mean basically I)

Yeah, so I entered this film for youth competition with a rather cool idea which explores my complete and amazing lazy-procrastinating nature. Called revision :D

Anyway so as you can see it pretty much contained full on me for about 5 minutes -Oh the horror! My eyes are bleeding!- with a cameo by Catherine!

It also contained some lovely composing by mr Thomas H.Compere who was great ^_^
But obviously the film for youth guys didn't like it as much as I did... didn't wanna meet Guy Ritchie anyway *sulks*

The second film -the Marxist documentary- was an extra curricular thing that I took on about a year ago, back then Georgeus was head honcho but it all sort of went downhill due to a small part of the organisers if ya ask me, and the documentary quit a couple of times until it was just me left -oh and kitty- So I put myself in gear... and about a month or two later I had put together a little thing -6 mins- along with the wise words of Paul Smith -dialectical Materialist extrodinare-

So that little fiasco went ok, and put me with an ok documentary under my belt, along with the fantastic memory of this guy (on the left)

Who said that with money we can be happier - because 'rather than smart price we can bust out on walkers 'an that!' truly hilarious.
From the experience on the documentary I learnt that teams barely ever work :p and that you can't find decent stock footage on the internet for free. Who would have thought it would be so difficult to get ahold of a sun setting!!

So now we get onto my third and final outing in the filming industry that is my computer room.
So if you remember (who exactly am I addressing this to :P) I put something up about a year ago about a film I had in production; well that was for Studentfilms.com's summer contest, and without-a-doubt I was gonna enter it this year.
unfortunately last year my film didn't hit it off -not really a surprise there :P- but still, if I were making my films for other people then I wouldn't have any.

Now being my most recent of films I am currently very proud of it. After acting in my coursework for my A levels I took quite a shine to it, and decided that I; would for once be the star role. And I must say, for my standards the acting I did perform was performed rather well.

Well cept for this bit... you dont tend to laugh when a kidnapper is taking you away in their car.

And I also had the amazing skills of Mr Bert Mueller at my disposal who made a jaw-dropping score for my film in under 3 HOURS!!! I love you Bert ^_^ (awesome name too)

So here's hoping to some good reviews even if the film is a little cheesy... and doesn't make much sense. But it doesnt matter because we have Catherine tied up!

And 'cos I make another cameo as the bad guy (see those arms, I was wearing three layers of clothes, I really look absolutely massive, I'd be scared if I saw me :O)

So thats it really... in less than a month I will be off to university :O where no doubt I will be surrounded by much more professional people than myself, making films and hoping I can fit in well :/

'Do you have anything else in the works?' I hear you say... well yes I do as a matter of fact; I still hope to do a small documentary on the debates of videogame violence, as well as perhaps a nice little traileresque piece for the amazing street performers that visited my town... um maybe a month or two ago *avoids catherine hitting me* :P

Sometimes I do not understand how some people work. (may be spoilers in here for Red Eye)

I'd probably help if I had pictures for the precise moments I speak of, but I do not :/ So you'll all have to imagine it.

I say this mainly after my experience of watching Red Eye at the cinema. Starting off as a thriller and ending as a slasher/horror there were of course false shocks to be have.
In this case the particular framing of a shot speculated whether the person was hidden behind some shower curtains… he was not, produced a couple of screams… ?!

The produce another strange framing shot, hell he coulda been behind the door near to the phone, the phone ran, producing another false shock (Wes sure loves to build the tension) Not many people screamed with that, they probably just jumped.

Now this was the worst part of the film in my experience with this new cinema thing. The framing was set right, she was closing the door. As convention went he was going to be behind there –either there or on the ceiling, not being physically possible, he opted for behind the door- and yet none of this screaming audience could comprehend that. They screamed their bloody eyes out.. and I mean, come on. He isn’t that scary looking, I’d go so far as creepy, but scary?

Then this weird cinema audience clapped when the good guys won?

But then I say this, and the part of the cinema that was actively involved in screaming also screamed at the trailer for Land of the Dead…

So what’s with young cinema audiences? As we walked out the cinema, I swear I heard some of them say they screamed on purpose… why? To impress someone? I am dumfounded with people these days :P

Ja woo, HMV have their annual summer sale. Woo :)
Which means that I get more cheap DVDs for my collections :D

And for once the DVDs were cheaper than that of Play :O
So yeah I managed to get like;

And they were like £33 :O thats like £5.50 each :) even though I woulda rather paid £3 each ^^.

I woulda got the LAST (:P) Temptation of Christ, but they didnt have the sale one. :'(

Ja random post. But me like my DVDs. Good collection going strong. 273 DVDs as of this moment. :D

Whoa Lightsaber... although a little bit at the top doesn't light up at least it works :P
I do not understand why a piece of cloth (jedi robe) has to be so goddamn expensive :/ whats the deal with that? If I were at all okish with textiles I could make my own robe and have a nice sith costume that I could centre a short film about :'(

Oh well guess I'll have to stick to my road film for now :(

And unfortunately I only really took a few pictures and they're close up... so all you loyal fans... (me and maybe Kitty if she reads it :P ) ... please enjoy XD Although unfortunately they don't picture very well up close :(

So me and Kitty went to the cinema today to see Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith which was fun... I'll be writing a review shortly... but I'm not too sure what to think :\ I won't go on about it here though... this isn't the place for reviewing :P
Funny though because Chidgey (Daniel) thought that he and his brother were sitting behind us, but we were sitting behind them Mwhahahaha... its funny to me anyway :P
Oh and there was the BEST Stella Artois advert on the history of surrealism, it was funny because it was true :P
Kitty got a weirdo shark plush thingy, I'd put up a picture but I can't ^^ Not much else happened though :/

I'm sitting here bored at... 21:36 waiting for Winamp to connect me so that I can watch Monday, the great episode of the X-Files, only to find it has just bloody connected me at the goddamn end of the episode and now its playing Alpha a real boring episode :'( Grrrrrr I'm sure that chinese guy has been in loads of programmes, he looks mighty familar...
I wish this stupid bloggy thing would let me have categories :/ Categories are fun... I think this would be filed under random :)
